Nice to see you picking up Amateur Radio again. Just done the same myself this summer. Sold a load of HF receiving kit and got myself an Icom IC-7000. Currently active in IO82VB with a tri-band collinear on 6/2/70 but planning my portable setup.
Hi Andy, Good to see the full /P kit in a field location. I like the tripod antenna but hope to convince you that “launched” wire antennas – supported high in two of the many local trees – will do more for you. All the best, Ted, G4ELM.
